In the research conducted on 110 countries, India has made its place at number one. According to this report, the acceptance of religious minorities in India is of the highest standard. South Korea, Japan, Panama are also included in this list. While topping this list, India has also left behind America, Britain and the Muslim country UAE.

Which countries were defeated in the ranking?

The Center for Policy Analysis (CPA) is a research institute headquartered in Patna, India. In its report, the condition of minorities in America, Maldives, Afghanistan and Somalia is worst. Britain is at number 54 in this list. At the same time, the Gulf country UAE is at number 61. In the report, India has achieved the number one position by defeating all these countries.

How did India become number-1 in the report?

According to this CPA report, India’s minority policy is based on a diversity-enhancing approach and emphasizes on it. In the Constitution of India, minorities have been given many rights in the field of culture and education. These rights given for the advancement of religious minorities are specially focused and clear on them only.

According to the report, no other constitution has such clear provisions to promote linguistic and religious minorities. It has also been said in the report that there is no restriction of any kind on any religious sect in India. On the contrary, many restrictions have been imposed on religious minorities in countries like Pakistan.
